The word “mirai” is Japanese for “future,” which connects to the art of origami, a core element of the Scopely identity. Origami is an art form, just like video games with limitless permutations. Game-making takes precision, innovation, transformation, quality and craftsmanship, just like origami. It also represents the ability to “unfold a world,” how each individual chooses, for as long as they desire.
Scopely was acquired by Savvy Games Group in July 2023 and is now an independent subsidiary of Savvy. Established in 2021 by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), Savvy Games Group is a games and esports company formed with a mission to drive the long-term growth and development of esports and the broader games industry worldwide.
